North River's worship style can be described as authentic. We seek to incorporate the best of contemporary and traditional in our worship services. You will here modern worship songs and hymns all led by our band, with guitars, keyboards, and drums. Our worship team and choir also lead. Sermons are biblically based and are relevant to today's world. We often use videos and dramas in our services to help our congregation apply biblical truth to their lives. The youth praise band periodically leads the congregation in worship as well. Our goal in worship is to lead people to glorify God and to live lives of worship.
We are proud of our church's involvement in local, domestic and international missions.
We have a "Service Team" within our church that responds to the needs of church members and other neighbors as well. They provide services from help with household and yard maintenance for the elderly to assistance with where to seek professional services such as financial help, legal aid or counseling. We are excited to be actively involved with North Fulton Charities, an organization that ministers to residents in our North Fulton county neighborhood. Various groups within our church, especially our children and youth groups, are active in collecting and delivering items required by this organization for ministering to those in need. North River also supports North American and International missionaries through the mission agencies of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and the Southern Baptist Convention. A portion of our weekly offerings is set aside every month and given gladly to these organizations in support of those called out to domestic and international missions vocations.
We believe in reaching out to those around us. At North River we emphasize that everyone is a missionary. We are all called to be 'salt' and 'light.' Through the church's ministry of FAITH evangelism, church members are trained and equipped to share their faith and tell the story of Jesus.
Through the Care ministry at North River, we seek to minister to the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of those within the body. We have ministry teams that minister to specific needs of Preschool, Children, Youth, College, Young Adult, Adult, and Senior Adults.
There are numerous opportunities for discipleship and spiritual growth at North River. Bible Study classes are available on Sunday mornings at 9:45 for all ages. Small groups meet periodically throughout the year on Sunday nights and on weeknights. the goal of the education ministry is to ensure to grow and make mature followers of Christ.
