 SEPTEMBER 8, 2010

It is finally "almost" here.  The day after tomorrow Jan and I will be taking, for the first time in a long time, a real vacation.  It is not my intent to bore those of you, who do this on a regular basis, but I really can't help it, this is a big deal for Jan and me.  A vacation with no kids, no friends, just us!  I am not really sure what we will talk about--but I am excited.

If you do not share my excitement you can stop ready after this paragraph.  John Roland will be preaching this Sunday and Chris Hobbs from the Georgia Baptist Children's Home next Sunday.  Arnold Eaves will be leading prayer service next Wednesday Night.

Is it ok to tell you a little about our trip?  Please.  I am really, really excited and when pastors get really, really excited--they need to talk.

Friday we fly to Ft. Lauderdale where we plan to spend two nights enjoying the beach.  Sunday we board the Celebrity Solstice for our cruise to the Western Caribbean.

Monday is all day at sea.  Tuesday we plan to spend the day snorkeling with the stingrays in Grand Cayman.  Can you believe it--snorkeling with stingrays!!  Ok, I will try to contain my excitement--sorry.

Wednesday we will be in Cozumel.  We are looking forward to our ATV trip into the interior.  Not sure what all we are going to see.  I did read something about some an ancient Myan burial site.  I will take plenty of pictures.  Can't wait to see Jan on an ATV--again I will take plenty of pictures.

Thursday we go to Costa Mya for a day on the beach.  This is going to be a relaxing day of sun, swimming, and snorkeling.  Of course, all of this is dependent upon any hurricane activity that may be threatening the Gulf.  Oh my goodness--where did that thought come from--"Get thee behind me Satan!"

Friday is a glass bottom boat trip in Roatan, Honduras.  They say the waters in Roatan are great for diving, snorkeling and glass bottom boats; some cultural dancing and shopping to finish off the day before returning to the ship.

Saturday we are at sea all day and then our flight back to Atlanta on Sunday.

Once again, thank you just for letting me talk--can you imagine what it will be like when we return!!?

This is my story.
