WORSHIP TIMES
Sunday Morning Worship - 10:55 AM
Bible Study for all ages - 9:45 AM
OUR HISTORY
North River was founded as a mission church in 1972. The congregation first met in the Chattahoochee River assembly facilities of the Atlanta Baptist Association. In 1976, the congregation purchased an old horse farm in the north Roswell area and moved to the site that same year. Within a few years, the Highway 92 - Crabapple Road area began to experience explosive growth, and the church has sought to keep pace with the growth by providing facilities and ministries to meet the needs of area residents.
Today, the church draws almost equally from the Roswell, Alpharetta, South Cherokee, and East Cobb communities.
OUR CHURCH

We live in a fast-paced world, and sometimes it's hard to keep up. We struggle to find time to develop relationships that are real and meaningful. We hope you will find that North River is a place where relationships are formed and deepen. You can come here and be accepted just as you are. You will also be challenged to become more than that.
When you come to North River, you will find a place where worship is inspiring, where the message is focused on helping you find principles for everyday living. You will find a warm, casual environment, where you can relax - we won't single you out, or embarrass you in any way.
Our hope is to help people find Christ, help them grow in their faith, and help them find a place of service and ministry in the world.
The above philosophy means that every member is important, and the gifts, talents, and abilities he or she brings our congregation are vital to us. As you look over the descriptions of the variety of ministries we engage in, you will see that the fulfillment of our motto, "God Cares and So Do We," is more than just a public relations phrase.
OUR BELIEFS

North River affirms the Lordship of Jesus Christ in all we do. We believe that Jesus is the only Son of God and, through His sacrifice on the cross and resurrection from the grave, is our Savior. We believe that salvation comes through trusting in Christ and seeking forgiveness for sin. We also uphold the historic Baptist tenets of priesthood of the believer and competence of the individual to work out the serious matters of faith directly with God. Members of our church staff are available to share our beliefs with you in greater detail.
OUR VISION

We shall, as the body of Christ, seek through relevant lifestyle and service ministries to reach the unchurched people of the larger North Fulton area.
OUR FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What time are services?
Our morning worship service begins at 10:55 AM each Sunday.
Bible study for all ages begins at 9:45.
Bible study groups meet seasonally on Sunday evenings. 'Fuel,' our youth worship service meets on Sunday evenings at 5:30. On Wednesdays at 6:30 there are Bible studies for youth and adults and 'River Kids,' a children's missino program for children.
What style of worship does North River have?
If you could describe worship at North River in a word, that would be 'genuine.' We emphasize substance over style. We believe in bridging the rich history of church worship to a modern culture. In our musical worship you will find guitars, piano, keyboard and drums along with a full choir and worship team. We sing modern worship songs and hymns that are updated musically. We emphasize that worship is a matter of the heart. As Jesus said, His worshipers will worship in 'spirit and in truth.'
What should I wear?
Our worship services are very casual. Most of our men do not wear coats and ties, including the pastor. However, if you feel more comfortable dressing up for church, you are more than welcome to do so.
Is there childcare available?
Childcare is provided during worship for infants through preschool aged children. Children K-5 attend the beginning of the worship service and are dismissed to Kidzone (Children's Worship.) Classes for all children are available during our Bible study hour at 9:45.
